How can I transfer songs from my old iPod shuffle to my new nano?

so i just bought a new iPod nano and my friend gave me her old shuffle. how can i put songs from her shuffle onto my nano?

Here is a tip to tell you how to do that. The process is transfer old iPod to computer first, then adds to iTunes and sync with new iPod.
http://ipodbackup.ipod-to-computer.net/ipod-to-ipod-transfer.html
You can also download a iPod to iPod software to help you do that.

What would happen to my ipod shuffle (the new one) if i left it to charge overnight?

What would happen to my ipod shuffle (the new one) if i left it to charge overnight? would it mess up the ipod shuffle?

Nothing. everybody charges their ipod of any kind to charge overnight if they want to. i do this all the time and nothing is ever wrong with my ipod.

Do you think there is going to be a new model of the iPod Shuffle?

I am debating if I should wait on getting a shuffle. They lowered the price and came out with a bigger one. Since of this, do you think there is going to be a new model of the iPod Shuffle coming out soon?

Don't get the shuffle. It may be small, but you can't choose the song and it's so small. Get an older nano, they work great. I have a 1st generation nano.

what is the name of the song off of the brand new extra small ipod shuffle commercial?

it is the new ipod shuffle that is looks like just a square. in the commercial it shows it gray and alot of different people are putting on different clothes and then clippin' the small ipod to their clothes. thank you in advance!! =D

Should I get the new iPod shuffle or an iPod video?

The iPod shuffle is smaller and cheaper but has less songs. The iPod Video can have videos and games but is $249 dollars. Are the games on the video fun? Which iPod should I get?
I had an iPod Nano, don't want another.

Neither.

Shuffle's a piece of crap (the cheapest iPod on the line). No display, can't choose what you hear. It's crap.
iPod video in recent reports have had horrible quality issues. The harddrives fail a whopping 20%! And their battery life is horrible. Apple is being sued on both counts.

I'd get a Zune....

Hope that helps....

Why dont you just get the ipod nano???

You should get the one in-between. The ipod nano, that is what I have and I love it. The shuffle is too small and the video one is too bulky.

highly reccomend the video. While the games arent so great, you can hold many more songs, and you can actually pick what you want to listen to. Since the ipod shuffle has no screen, its pretty much impossible to pick a song you want, navigating is just much easier with an ipod video

i know, shuffles, are cheap, but they are small and cant fit thaqt many songs. ipod video is big and mite not fit in you pocket .. i prefer ipod n ano. its the exact right songs and u can get one with 500, 1000, 240, songs that can fit in it.

Like you said, the shuffle is cheaper but it has less song
capacity and it doesn't have many features like the iPod
Video. it is more expensive but from what I've heard, it's
so worth it. you can add a lot of songs, games, vids, and
has some other features.

I would go for the iPod Video. but if you don't want to
spend a lot of money, then get one of those ipod nanos
they're the same as the shuffle but have more song capacity
and they are only like... $150 (2GB)

definitely the ipod video 30 gig. because you pay the same price as the new nano. the shuffle is junk because you cant choose what song you want to listen to, and it barely holds any songs. the video holds a lot of songs, you can put movies t.v. shows, games, and music videos on it.

Well i would go with the video. The games are ok if your at school or on the bus or something. Just normal game like solitare and stuff. But the games cost a lot.

Is the new idog compatible with the ipod shuffle 2nd generation?

My younger sister is interested in buying the idog and she has a little ipod shuffle. I was wondering if this is compatible with the idog. In other words does the idog connect through the headphone jack or through some other port. I looked it up and everything I found was talking about the older idog that is not being sold anymore. I was wondering if there is a difference. Thanks.

it connects to the headphone jack, so its comaptble with every music player. it includes all of the cables too.

I need a cord from my new panasonic stereo to my Ipod SHUFFLE?

There's an input for MP3 player on the unit but it didn't come with a cord. I have an Ipod Shuffle (which connects differently than the other Ipods). Any ideas where I should go or can someone link me to exactly what I need?

When will the new iPod Shuffle be released?

I am thinking about buying a 3rd gen ipod shuffle. Do you know when the 4th gen will come out so I don't get screwed again like I did with the 3rd gen ipod nano.
I want the shuffle because I hate the armband for the ipod nano and I want something more portable.

Are there any problems with the New Ipod Shuffle?

My friend had one and an Ipod nano he said they both broke within the first 2 months of owning it. I really want the new Shuffle but If its just going to break after a couple of months shall I really go for it?

It won't break unless you step on it or something. The only problem with it is it's really small and easy to lose.

What should I put on my ten-year-olds new iPod shuffle?

I got my daughter an ipod shuffle for Christmas and decided to get it out and charge it up and add music to it before wrapping it so that she doesn't have to wait to charge it and all that on Christmas morning.

I've already gotten some Miley Cyrus and Jesse Mccartney and a few Cheetah girls songs, but what else do ten-year-olds listen to now?

Kurzweil: We will all be bionic 10 years from today New York Daily News

As we approach the end of the first decade of the new millennium, let’s consider what life will be like a decade hence. Changes in our lives from technology are moving faster and faster. The telephone took 50 years to reach a quarter of the U.S. population. Search engines, social networks and blogs have done that in just a few years time. Consider that Facebook started as a way for Harvard students to meet each other just six years ago; it now has 350 million users and counting.

Between now and 2020, the trend will continue, spreading cutting-edge technologies to every corner of the country and beginning to make innovations once consigned to the realm of science fiction real for millions of Americans. Specifically what can we expect? Solar power on steroids, longer lives, the chance to get rid of obesity once and for all, and portable computing devices that start becoming part of your body rather than being held in your hand.

What will drive all this accelerating change is precisely what has driven it this past half-century: the exponential growth in the power of information technology, which approximately doubles for the same cost every year. When I was an MIT undergraduate in 1965, we all shared a computer that took up half a building and cost tens of millions of dollars. The computer in my pocket today is a million times cheaper and a thousand times more powerful. That’s a billion-fold increase in the amount of computation per dollar since I was a student.

That incredible force — information technology that moves faster, then faster, then faster still — will power changes in every imaginable realm over the next decade.

Start with the basics. You’ve no doubt noticed that electronic gadgets are getting smaller and smaller; the iPod Shuffle holds 1,000 songs and weighs 0.38 ounces. Your phone is smaller than it was a few years ago and can do much more. By 2020, memory devices will be integrated into our clothing. And the very idea of a “smart phone” will begin to change. Rather than looking at a tiny screen, our glasses will beam images directly to our retinas, creating a high resolution virtual display that hovers in air.

That virtual display will be able to take over our entire visual field of view, putting us in a three-dimensional full immersion virtual reality environment. We’ll watch movies virtually and read virtual books. A lot of our personal and business meetings will take place in these 3D virtual worlds. The design of new virtual environments will be an art form. We’ll even have ways to touch one another virtually.

New generation of iPods Jamaica Gleaner

A small media device that plays MP3s, MP4s, displays pictures and also video-records from the built-in camera.

Comes in a rainbow of colours.

Has a built-in accelerometer to adjust the orientation of the screen, depending on how you hold the device.

Comes with pre-installed games for your enjoyment.

Has a built-in FM tuner to listen to your favourite radio programmes.

Details

This is Apple's fifth-generation iPod Nano, with all its glory and might. This device sports a camera, no, scrap that, a video camera that only video-records. Yes, it only video-records. That mystifying fact really puzzles me because I've never heard of a similar device that can video-record but can't take photos.

Anyway, enough of the complaining.

The saving grace is that this iPod's video-recording quality is top-notch! The FM radio function is a sweet feature that keeps you in tune with the real world, not to mention the day's Cash Pot winning numbers. Also, you'll not have any problems with reception, even if you live in a cave.

As always, the media playback is superb for both videos and music. The fifth generation is certainly a keeper if you're a person who loves music and videos, but doesn't want to have a device weighing down your pockets.

iPod Shuffle (third generation)

Noteworthy points

A really small device that plays music.

Audio feedback interface (A feature that announces the artiste and track name while it's being played).

Details

I lost it! Darn thing is so small that I lost it after I finished reviewing it. I'm convinced this small, no, microscopic MP3 player is the smallest music player to ever graced God's green earth. I mean, if you accidentally swallowed it you wouldn't even feel it being digested. I wonder if I did swallow ... . Guess I'll have to wait till tomorrow morning to find out that out.

Besides its size, it also has a very nifty feature that helps you find your favourite playlist and songs. Apple calls this user interface which speaks to you, VoiceOver. It's a set of text-to-speech files associated with each track on your iPod that announces the title and artiste of your current song. Hold the button down long enough and the voice will cycle through your entire playlist, one by one, reading the names. The audio playback is marvellous, to say the least.

It's such a shame that this iPod Shuffle has all the controls on the earphones themselves, which totally eradicates the idea of using your own head or earphones. This iPod is suited for the non-flashy music lover or persons who like to listen to music while they work out.
