How do I Drop C with A Boss Tu80 Tuner?

How do I Drop C with A Boss Tu80 Tuner besides using a capo.

i don't think you can

What is the best placement for boss tu-2 tuner on a pedalboard?

What is the best placement for a boss tu-2 tuner on a pedal board.I own a overdrive chours and delay pedal's
someone told me it dose not matter where you put the tuner.
I

It does. Put it right up front as the first thing you plug into, since it's transparent (won't alter your guitars tone or signal). If you put it last or after certain effects, you stand the chance of muddying your signal so you won't get a true reading of a note, plus god knows what kind of other tones your gonna get from a tuner with a chorus running through it.... especially if you're trying to tune with the thing on....and with a deep mix.

How do I set up my guitar effects chain with Boss NS-3 Noise Suppressor?

I have the following guitar effects pedals: Boss TU2 (tuner), CS3 (compressor), SD1 (overdrive), dunlop wah, dunlop volume ped, Boss RV2 (reverb), DD3 (delay), CH1 (chorus), and finally NS3 (noise suppressor).

This concerns the NS3. It's got send-return jacks on it, besides the input-output jacks, and I'm trying to decide if they're worth using.

Here's my current chain:

Guitar - TU2 - vol - wah - CS3 - SD1 - Input to NS3 - Output frm NS3 to Input of amp; Effects send from amp - CH1 - DD3 - RV2 - Effects Return to amp.

But, would a better chain be one like:

Gtr - Input to NS3 - Send from NS3 to vol - wah - CS3 - SD1 - Return to NS3 - Output from NS3 to Input of amp; then Effects Send from amp - TU2 - CH1 - DD3 - RV2 - Effects Return to amp.

I'm hopeful some knowledgeable fellow guitarists can follow that and give some advice on setups that work. I know it's an individual thing, just want some ideas on what you guys do or would do.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Always put the Noise Suppressor at the end of the chain with your overdrive pedal.

The NS3's function is to silence any extra noise coming from the other pedals, so if you put it first, how can it silence anything?

Extra noise usually comes from the overdrive/distortion pedal, so put it at the end of that chain.

how do i drop d on an boss tu80 tuner?

help

I dont have that tuner, but there are 2 ways I tune to D that may help you.

One way is to play your E and D strings at the same time. Then downtune the E string until it sounds the same as your D.

The other way I do it with my tuner is if it just displays what Key the string is in, just tune the E string to where you tuner says D instead.

Help with my guitar tuner (TU-80 BOSS)?

I got a guitar tuner last week and for some reason when i play, say the low E key it picks it up as b for some reason and then the pointer to show if its tuned jumps around, i tried changing the batteries and it did not work. How do i fix it i was going to send them an email but you have to put in a bunch of info and I dont want to go through that can anyone please help me???

maybe it actually is tuned to B? If that's not it, you might be picking up a harmonic which is a b, it's on the 7th fret. You might need your guitar adjusted.

BOSS TU-80 Guitar tuner?

I want to tune my acustic guitar to standard tuning. It shows "guitar bbbb''. Is that standard tuning? How many b's need to show (I think they might be notes), and should I have it on chromatic, or guitar?

Try chromatic. Most chromatic tuners will indicate the note you're closest to when you play them.

Be sure your battery is in good shape . . . a lot of tuners "get stupid" when the battery is low. Also, especially with an acoustic, try to turn down the TV and stereo when you're trying to tune.

Standard tuning for guitar is E A D G B E

Hope this helps.

is intellitouch pt1 a good guitar tuner?

i have a small korg tuner, it works good but i can only do normal tuning on it. i cant do any other tuning like drop d!

i also have the tuner from my boss me-50, works great. i can do all kinds of tuning. however the korg and boss tuners tune a little different.

i dont know which is right but the boss tuner tunes higher than the korg, or vise vers.

i saw this intellitouch one that tunes using the vibrations rather than sound.

but is that reliable? does that make for a better tuning?

can the intellitouch work for different tunings like drop d?

It's the best tuner on the market in my opinion. I've used one for years and so have most of my guitar-playing friends. I use it on my acoustics exclusively but I believe it's just as effective on electric. The main benefit is that you can use it no matter how noisy the environment is, since as you pointed out it uses vibrations. It is easy to use, accurate, and yes, you can use it for drop tunings since it's fully chromatic. It's not inexpensive but it's worth every penny. Go for it.

guitarists what pedal should i buy next? boss octave oc 3 or a boss compressor sustainer. I own these....?

currently running from amp to guitar: boss chromatic tuner- boss ge 7 eq- boss digital delay- boss flanger- danelectro chorus- boss metal zone- ibanez tube screamer- dunlop wah what else should i get? help me make the decision...

i agree with the compressor that will make your sound better

Hey Fellow Guitarists: Do you use pedals, and if so what is your chain?

Mine is as follows: Les Paul/Tele/G&L Legacy>Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah>Fulltone Fulldrive II Mosfet>Fulltone OCD>Ibanez Tube Screamer TS9 Turbo>Keeley Katana Boost>Analogman Clone Chorus>Boss DD3 Delay>Boss TU2 Tuner>Reissue '65 Super Reverb....... I just got one of those Fender Blender pedals and am not impressed so I don't think it will make its way onto the board.

Nice. That's an expensive chain.

Fender Jaguar>Slash Sig Crybaby Wah Pedal with Distortion Circuit>BOSS DS-1 Distortion Pedal>MXR EVH-117 Eddie Van Halen Phlanger>BOSS RC-20XL Loop Station>BOSS TU-2 Chromatic tuner>EVH 5150 III HD Guitar Amp Head>Marshall Half Stack

Yummy.

how to order pedals in pedalboard?

I am building a pedal board, and i know the order you chain your pedals is important. please help. this is what i have:
1. Boss AC2 acoustic simulator
2. Line 6 DL4 delay
3. Dunlop Cry Baby wah
4. Boss Tremolo
5. Boss Chorus
6. Boss Tuner pedal

thank you for your time!

the best answer I can give is....WHATEVER SOUNDS BEST TO YOU!!!!
the standard and most common starting point...will put your *tuner first, the *wah (envelope type effects), next put the *acoustic simulator, then personally I would try the *tremolo after that, followed by the *chorus, last, *delay. now in the future you may get a distortion/overdrive pedal, people will generally put that before the chorus/phase type pedals. personally I would run the guitar straight to the tuner, simulator, wah (in that order) to the amp, effects loop output to the trem, chorus, and delay, back to the loop input on the amp (in that order).

Boss TU-2 Chromatic Tuner review.

GT9-R wants to be world's fastest Wheels24.co.za
Although 9ff’s 911-based supercars are hardly the last word in aesthetic elegance, they are awfully fast.

Bugatti Veyron besting fast in fact.

The Dortmund-based tuner (or if you wish to be pedantic, it’s probably a manufacturer all things considered) has leaked details of its forthcoming flagship, the GT9-R.

This Porsche 911-based hypercar promises to be one of those cars which you would have to crazy to build – and even madder to own, let alone drive.

Do we have lift-off?

Last year, 9ff triumphantly broke the Bugatti Veyron's record by recording a speed of 408.7km/h in its GT9 hypercar. As an aside, this achievement also set the record of the world's fastest speed on street-legal tires.

There was one thing which grated the 9ff crew about their dual-record. The GT9-R's speed was still shy of the SSC Ultimate Aero's outright record of 411.76km/h - achieved on competition tyres, obviously.

Now 9ff has upped the ante with a newer, more intense, GT9-R – aiming to claim the outright speed title.

Aerodynamic paraphernalia not the last word in aesthetic elegance - not that you'd mind at speeds over 400km/h...

Very disturbing numbers

Jan Fatthauer, 9ff's boss, is clearly aiming to wrest each and every speed title he can from the production car record book.

To this end the revised range of production GT9-Rs will be available in three states of tune – a mellow 552-, quick 726- and apocalyptic 823kW version.

Although 9ff slide six forged pistons (running off titanium con-rods) into the 4l twin-turbo flat-six engine, we can’t help but marvel at how everything stays together considering the outputs on offer.

If you’re after 418km/h (claimed) bragging rights, the 823kW/1050Nm GT9-R is the one you need to tick on the 9ff order form. It’s pretty good through the gears too, blitzing 0-100km/h in 2.9 sec and 0-300km/h in 14.9 seconds.

You had better be quick with the substantial (prices unconfirmed) money transfer to 9ff, as only 20 of these 823kW GT9-Rs will be built.

911 GT3 silhouette is still visible. Performance is on another planet altogether though.

Automatic convenience for commuting?

If you miss 20-vehicle 823kW production run you’ll unfortunately have to settle for the mellower GT9-Rs, like the 409km/h, 726kW, mid-range model or (heaven forbid the embarrassment) a 380km/h, 552kW, version.

True to form the least powerful incarnation of the GT9-R comes with an optional dual-pedal five-speed Tiptronic transmission.

The range of individual customer tailoring reflects the level of performance on offer as it promises to be virtually infinite.

An obsessive range of airflow management aids and surfacing options are available for the 911 GT3 based bodywork, which, thanks to its carbon-fibre and Kevlar construction, ensures the GT9-R’s total mass is only 1 325kg.

Exactely when Jan Fatthauer's 9ff will team attempt to unseat the SSC Ultimate Aero from its record position next year is still unclear.

In keeping with the GT9-R's streetcar billing (or attempt at) any record attempt will in all probability happen on a closed off section of the French autoroute, not the high-speed European ovals of Papenburg or Nardo .

BOSS unveils eBand Audio Player for guitarists Gizmag

For the budding guitarist one of the best ways to learn music is to play along with familiar tunes, and for more experienced axemeisters, the ability to build songs using loops and backing tracks is an important writing tool. The BOSS eBand JS-8 Audio Player is a versatile solution that suits both scenarios. Designed for guitarists who play and practice at home, the portable eBand has a built-in speaker stereo system and offers preset guitar sounds and effects, functions to change tempo and pitch and the ability to record sessions.

eBand is marketed for guitarists who want to learn songs, solos and riffs, practice new songs outside of band practice, or create new songs while jamming with audio tracks. If a user prefers to play along to a song from their own music collection, it can be loaded onto the audio player via USB memory stick or a SDHC memory card up to 32GB. eBand also has the ability to import songs from any audio CD using the included utility software.

The audio player allows the user to mix things up and create new sounds. It features COSM preamp technology, which works by using multiple modeling methods to accurately emulate the existing sound, and guitar effects derived from the BOSS GT-10 pedal. Pre-recorded vocals or guitar parts can be minimized and there's 300 audio-loop phrases onboard for backing tracks and rhythms.

To help keep guitarists on time and in key, tuner and metronome functions are built in. eBand also has a record function which is capable of saving an entire performance. After all, jamming alone wouldn’t be much fun if you couldn’t show off your creations to your band.

Christmas music from Heck transPARENT (blog)

I've heard worse than these, except for "The Christmas Shoes". "Feliz Navidad" does get on my nerves when heard for the 100th time. But most Christmas songs are actually pretty lame if looking at them from an artistry perspective. What affects the like/dislike quotient may have to do with the era that you grew up in. Most of these songs are from the late 70's, early 80's and that is what I know, in addition to songs prior to that. So they bring back all those joyful memories. On the other hand, I have trouble associating with some of the songs that they released today for Christmas. Are they any worse or better than these on the list? I think people will vary on their opinion. One of my favorite tunes, "Christmas in Hollis" by Run-DMC may not evoke much from someone in Wisconsin but to me, a former NYer, it brings back all types of fun memories.

As a final comment, I do like most of these songs to some degree although I found Rafael's comments extremely funny on them (especially the one from Band-Aid).
