What amp should i get for my new Rockford Fosgate Speakers?
...

I just got two RF T1693C 6x9 speakers. I also got two RF T162c 6.5" speakers and two tweeters, RF T1T. The 6x9 are 110 watts rms, the 6.5 are 75 watts rms, and the tweeters are 100 watts rms. I am mostly interested in a Rockford amp, but if something is better, let me know. I want one amp that will power all of the speakers perfectly, if that is possible.
get a bosch amp. bosch is the best audio brand. it is the best quality and sounds great.

Which Speakers will get louder and still sound good?
...

Heres the run down...My bud has some 4x7s (or maybe 5x7s) that are 2way up front....he is also running tweeters up front...My thinking is that IMO the tweets in the x7s are making the music sound too high pitched...so i offered to give him my 4" Rockford Foasgate Fanatic Xs in instead of the x7's...his 4x7s are infinity reference series and my 4" are 70w rms...Which get loud and still sound better doing it?
try them both out...and see

Does anyone know anything about these car amps? Boss chaos C700 1200watts, Rockford Fosgate Punch 200?
...
Feb 02, 2008 by johnslady05 | Posted in Car Audio
I am going to put a sound system in my car (subwoofers, amp, tweeters) and I know a guy that has the boss chaos c700 1200 watt amp for $150 used and a rockford fosgate punch 200 amp used for $135. My other option is the sony xplod amp from walmart. I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about these amps , and if they are priced well. Thanks in advance!
Boss isn't a good brand.
Don't buy any audio equipment from Wal-Mart.
Look for CEA-2006 compliant amps.

Having a small system in my car, why does bass cut out when I turn the vol up on my sub-woofer?
...
Sep 04, 2006 by mspmaintenanceetc | Posted in Car Audio
The system consist of a clarion deck, a 12" boss woofer, a rockford fosgate amp (90 x 2) for 4 ohm speaker, a couple tweeters, and front and rear speakers. The bass will hold to a volume level of about 18. After that, the bass / sub cuts out and the rest of the system still functions.
Thank you in advance for your comments and suggestions!!!!!
It sounds like your speakers are wired in a way that is lowering the resistance to 2 ohms and your amp is clipping.
To really help you I need more info. How many speakers, their ohm rating and most of all, how your system is wired. ie. series, parallel. are you using a crossover, do the woofers have breakers?

Looking to get some more mid-bass in my truck?
...
Feb 20, 2007 by jeff s | Posted in Car Audio
I got two stage 2 rockfords powered by a rockford amp, pioneer head unit, infinity refernece in the front and rear doors, a pair of 4X10 Clarions in the rooftop and power akoustik tweeters. I am looking to possibly get either two 6 3/4 inch Kickers or another pair of 8 inch Rockford to put under the rear seats along with another amp. Any suggestions as to which wooder and which amp? Looking to spend about 300-400 total.
Thanks
Kicker makes 8" midbass speakers, they are really affordable and they sound great. Ive seen them on ebay for as little as $100.00 a pair. They are also very shallow mounting so you can fit them just about anywhere.

Help with my car audio system?
...
Dec 06, 2008 by FastCAR | Posted in Car Audio
Ok am getting a car audio system right now i have a rockford fosgate subs and amp. I haven't put them in yet but i am waiting to get enough money for speakers and a headunit. I was wondering after i put this in should i install tweeters as well to enhance the sound. Or in other words would my highs sound bad without tweeters. If so, what are some good tweeters and what should i look for?
Your best bet would be to look for a component set that fits the stock speaker location in your car. They come with their own separate tweeters.
Coaxial speakers come with tweeters too. They are just built in to the speaker.
