Are 4 Rockford Fosgate T1 subwoofers better than 2 rockford T2s?

Right now in my VW Rabbit I hav 3 Rockford Fosgate T1 12s and a Rockford 2000 watt rms amp. I am trying to decide whether to get another T1 or maybe getting 2 T2s instead. Or maybe even just getting 1 T2(I know 1 can handle the wattage because they are so under rated). I am just trying to be as loud as possible. Also, how important is it that I upgrade my big 3?

Big 3 is a judgement call: do your lights dim? If so, consider a big 3 upgrade.

If you upgrade the alternator, consider a big 3 upgrade.

As far as the drivers are concerned, all other things equal, four 12" drivers will be louder than 1 or 2 12" drivers.

I agree with the above answer. I only add that if you are going for SPL I'd add another T1. As for the T2's, you are going to get much better SQ and lower frequencies. It's just a matter of preference.

if what you mean by better, is louder, then yes.

and you should upgrade the big 3 when you hit 1,000 watts rms.

good luck

With a down firing ported enclosure do i still need an amp to power my 2 12 inch rockford fosgate subwoofers?

yes you need an amp to power any car subs unless its already powered

YES!!! So hit me up and I will walk you through it and help you get what u need I have great prices and better yet great support...

Rockford Fosgate subwoofers?

Im trying to find out if anyone has these subs, and if they do how good are they? 2 Rockford Fosgate T112D4 subwoofers powered by a Rockford Fosgate T1001bd amp.

i dont like Rockford either. it seems that they were great about 10 years ago. not so much now.

I personally hate Rockford Fosgate....if you want deep sounding subs that will just have the best clarity and sound here you go you can check them out HIFONICS GOLIATH XX3215 15".....my reason being is goliaths are competition subs but also personal use and you can get them for like 400 dollars and rockford fosgates the ones you want are 449 with less power and clarity just a suggestion dont get rockford fosgates. and if thats too much for your money there are also jlw7's and alpine type R or X

I have to agree with the previous two posts. I have two 12" Alpine SWR-12420 Type-R woofers and two V-Power MRP-M450 mono-channel amplifiers (they were on sale; the combined price was cheaper than a dual-channel). I've already gotten in trouble once for "disrupting the peace" and they hit really hard. I can't even keep my rearview mirror to stick in the same place anymore, and my license plate is bent. I know this didn't answer your question, but I'd recommend against Rockford Fosgate. Stick with Alpine or JL.

Is it better for Rockford Fosgate subwoofers (12 inch, P2) to be ported or nonported?

Non-ported, it will give your bass a more solid sound. Ported boxes space your bass out and sound unclear.

ported plays deeper. sealed plays more clear. i love ported

ported all the way

Ported all the way!!!

rockford fosgate punch and power subwoofers?

I would like to know once and for all what the difference is between the Rockford Fosgate Punch subwoofers and the Power subwoofers

the punch amps are good, as well as the power amps. the punch subs are ok, nothing special. the power series subs are alot better though.

punck series is for like just normal use power is for like competiton and are alot powerful i own 2 12inch rockford fosgate dvc 4ohm wired at 1 ohm to my t1000db rockford fosgate amp and its a beast but the honest opinion power and punch in subs hold the same amount of rms go to the web site and compare theres really no difference good luck

looks and warranty, better tech support same sound from subs a tad bit more power from amps.

what will be a good amp to push four 10" rockford fosgate p2 subwoofers?

I have 4 10" rockford p2 subs that are dual 4 ohms and 250 rms each and all together will be 1000 rms. Are there any good mono amps that can push 4 subs or do i need two seperate mono amps?...thanks in advance

What two subwoofers would go best with my 800x2 rockford fosgate amplifier?

I sold my last system(a 600 watt power acoustik amp and 2 mtx 10's) and now I have an 800 wattx2 Rockford Fosgate Punch amplifier. I have a non ported box that holds 2 twelve inch subwoofers, I have 4 6x9 door speakers and a pioneer stereo. What two subs would hit best with my amplifier?

I agree with the last poster on alot of stuff. One good sub is much better than two cheap subs. The quality is much better and the output usually is at least on par.

I try to stick with the same brand when I can, so if you have a RF amp see what RF powers for subs with it. That should give you an idea of what the amp was designed to do.

I've also had good luck with JL speakers, especially the W6v2's, the Alpine Type R's, and lots of other good name brand subs.

Does anybody want to buy some 12" Rockford Fosgate Subwoofers? They are Stage 2. ?

I have 2 of them in a box. separately wired for 2 channel amps. I am looking for at least $170 for them. I payed over $400 and i'm kinda in a bind.

What subwoofers will work with Rockford Fosgate P1000 amp?

I have a Rockford Fosgate P1000-1BD amp. Blew my first sub which was a Cerwin Vega Vmax 15" 1000 watt in two days. Will (2) 500 watt P3 Rockford Fosgate subs work with this amp? Or any suggestions on what works best. Also any diagrams on how to wire it. Thanks!

Would a 500 watt JL audio mono block amp run 2 12inch rockford Fosgate Subwoofers rated 400 to 800rms per sub?

In a closed box. so the minimum rms should be 800 for both subs, would a JL 500 Be enough????

If you are referring to the 500/1 it contains a voltage regulator which it does not matter if you run it in 4 ohms or 1.5 ohms it will only produce 500 watts. There is not a mininum you need to actually run a sub. It will run with 1 watt. It should be plenty. Plus JL Audio is a very good brand. Now if you double the power you will only be gaining 3 dB of output.
