What's the best amplifier to use for 2 12'' rockford fosgate P3's?

I plan on getting two 12'' rockford fosgate P3D412 or P3D212 (not sure on the two) but i'm desparetly wanting to know a couple of good amps to power them. any sugestions please write below.
Thanks for you help!!!!
P.S. I'm new to all of the sound system stuff but free to any answers.

P3D412 are 4ohm subs while the P3D212 are 2 ohm subs both have dual voicecoils.... what that means is that you can run a sub for example P3D412 as either a 2 ohm sub or 8 ohm sub where the P3D212 can be run as a 4 ohm sub or 1 ohm sub this will depend on if you run them in series or parallel parallel give the lower impedance.... Regarding the amp, if you get the 2 ohms you want an amp that is stable at 1 ohm while if you get the 4 ohm you want an amp that is stable @ 2 ohm or 1 ohm if you run all 4 speakers on one channel.... That being said. I would get the rockford fosgate T600-2 and the 4 ohm subs this will give you 300 RMS in 2 ohm into 2 channels.

I wouldstay away from Fosgate. They are cheap and sound like trash. What is your budget? Feel free to email me through here for more help.

What would be the best amp for 2 P2 Rockford Fosgate 12" Subs?

I just got my license, and the car to match, and i am trying to but together a really bad ass system for my car, but i really dont know a whole lot about this stuff. Ive got 2 P2 Rockford's and i dont know what kinda amp i need to drive them. Any ideas?

Well usually I would buy all my materials from the same company. I have all my subs, speakers, amps matching.. usually they perform better with same brand.. but honestly you have some ROCKFORDS man and well buy a rockford amp.

What is the required air space for a rockford fosgate 12 inch subwoofer?

Can't find this info anywhere and need to know so I can choose the right box.
BTW it's a RF p1.

Sealed Box Volume (cubic feet) 1 - 1.5
Ported Box Volume (cubic feet) 1.25 - 2.25
Port diameter (inches) 4
Port length (inches) 9
Free-Air No

1.25cf sealed. if i remember right.

whenever you have a question like this go to the home site for the brand your looking for. for example in this case...go to rockford fosgate.com and then go to subwoofers and click on the subwoofer you have. the site will have every sub rockford makes. it'll list all the specs for each sub and every other thing they sell. this way you can find out a lot faster and you dont have to wait for someone on here to answer you

I am about to purchase a 12"Rockford Fosgate 3SD412 for my single cab truck? What amp should i use?

I am obviously short on space. Any comments about whether this is a good sub or not, its for a 2001 GMC Sierra

You usally need a amp with the same rms watts as your sub it really doesnt matter for space cuase it flat and will almost mount anywhere

Match the RMs watts between sub and amp as well as match the impedance (ohm) load the sub provides to the amp.

Dual Rockford T122D2 12 inch does anyone know how to get or make a sub box to replace the back seat?

Theyre pretty big so they wont fit with the seats in there is there anywhere to purchase a box to replace the seat but not a stealth box.

I suggest you contact your local car stereo shop and they should be able to build you a box. That way they could build the box to the required specs. Be prepared to spend around $300 or more! Good luck and nice choice of subs :)

What amp should i get for Rockford Fosgate 12" Punch P3 4-Ohm?

Either a specific amp, preferably rockford fosgate or just how the specifications. The one i have now is two small
i think thats the amp i have now. The people at teh shop told me my speakers could take alot more power. Is that not true?
if i get an amp that is to big is will blow my speakers right? lol they were expensive so thats definately what i do not want to do.
i have 2 subs not 1, sorry i didnt realize i hadnt told you that

You need a amp that is 500rms@4ohm not 300rms.

I have the hifonics zxi1006 and two rockford fosgate 12" hx2 subs?

I wired the subs at 2 ohms each. the sound quality is poor until i disconnect one of the 2 rca plugs from the input. I want both to hit hard . New amp and speakers sound great in friends car with a 2400 watt directed amp. Any suggestions for wiring.

To get the most out of your amplifier wire both the coils of one subwoofer into one channel and do the same to the other sub on the other channel. This will output 500wrms per channel which is the rms power-handling of your subs. Perfect.

Make sure your using the subwoofer RCA from the head-unit or if you are using the rear outputs make sure the change the settings to "Subwoofer" also make sure the Channel 1/2 X-over on your amplifier is set to "LPF" and that the dial is set to around 80Hz. With all this done it should sound very decent.

Good luck!

I have daul rockford fosgate 12" 400w 8ohm subs in one box what size amp should i get?

right now i have a pioneer 720 watt amp and it always cuts out. Would it help if i got a bigger amp wire?

Trying to figure out the impedance of a rockford fosgate 12 inch subwoofer??

I have a rockford fosgate subwoofer and was wondering if there is a way to find out if the subwoofer is 4-ohm or 8-ohm because there is no model number on the subwoofers. So i don't know wether it has one or the other impedance? Any comments would help thanks.

Hampshire makes it a perfect 10 Chicago Daily Herald

MACHESNEY PARK - Hampshire girls basketball coach Sue Elllett compares coaching her team to a trip through the drive-through lane at the local bank.

"It's kind of like when I go to get money at the bank and they ask me how I want it," Ellett says. "I just say hey, I can spend it any way you give it to me."

Ellett's Whip-Purs shared the wealth again Wednesday night, using balanced scoring and stifling defense to knock off the host school 59-25 in the first round of the 32nd Annual Harlem Christmas Classic.

The win gives the Whips a perfect 10-0 start to a season they have high expectations to finish in the 22-25 win range, at least.

"It's exciting," Ellett said. "I don't come into games with this team saying that if we don't do something we're going to struggle. We wait to see what (the opponent) is doing. I feel like a computer programmer. I just click it and it works."

As it did Wednesday. Harlem (3-8) came out in a zone defense and within seconds, Ellett inserted junior sharpshooter Jessie Van Dorin into the game. Van Dorin, who finished with four 3-pointers for 12 points, hit a 3 to start the scoring and added another less than a minute later as the Whips rolled out to a 14-0 lead and never looked back.

"The nice part is that when Kelsey Anderson comes out of the game she doesn't pout," said Ellett of putting Van Dorin into the game so quickly. "She might be a little disappointed when she sees a zone but she comes over here and sits down and cheers on Jess shooting the 3s."

Hampshire led 20-7 after one quarter and its leading scorer, senior Chrissy Heine, had just 2 points, those coming with 45 seconds left in the period.

"It's nice that everybody can score," said Heine, who finished with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 steals and a block. "We don't have to rely on just one or two players."

Cassie Dumoulin led Hampshire Wednesday with 15 points, 3 assists and 3 steals and Alex Dumoulin added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals. The Whips' defense created 24 turnovers, 18 of them coming off steals.

"In games like this we want to work on the little things so they have a huge impact," Heine said. "We're coming along really well."

The Whips led 34-10 at halftime and 45-15 by the end of the third quarter, which allowed Ellett to play her 8-girl rotation freely.

"These kid are very unselfish and they seem to know more and more where each other are," Ellett said. "These kids are all about scoring points for Hampshire, and they don't care who scores them as long as we win."

Ellett agrees, though, that it's time for her team to face a challenge. Thus far, the Whips have beaten their opponents by an average of 27 points per game. Hampshire plays Rockford East today and Winnebago Friday before the final round Saturday, in which the Whips could see undefeated Rockford Lutheran for the championship.

"Yes, it would be nice to get tested," Ellett said. "We expect that Saturday."

Rockford high school's girls basketball team broke open a tight contest with a second half surge on their way to a 49-30 triumph over East Grand Rapids Saturday. With the win, Rockford's record moved to 4-0 early in the season.

The Rams held a 13-9 lead after one quarter that shrank to 20-18 at the half. Megan Kelley paced Rockford in the first half by posting 11 of the team's 13 posts during the first eight minutes.

East Grand Rapids scored the first bucket to knot things up at 20-20. But from that point forward, it was all Rams.

Relentless full-court pressure was applied and the Pioneers crumbled repeatedly in their efforts to advance the ball.

Rockford went on a six-minute 15-0 run at that point to go from a 20-20 tie to a commanding 35-20 advantage. The Pioneers scored three late third quarter points to temporarily stem the tide, but the rout continued into the final quarter.

Caitlyn Patterson was the catalyst for the Rams in the second half as she poured in 12 of her 14 points on the night. Patterson also chipped in with several sterling assists. Kelley notched an additional two points during the course of the game to finish with 13.

Next up for the Rams is a home contest against the Panthers of West Ottawa. Tip off is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Golden Apple: Steve Gabet 12/2009 Indiana's NewsCenter

This veteran of the classroom is this month's Golden Apple Award winner.

Rita Osborne says, “I have to thank you for your many years of going above and beyond and for teaching, mentoring, guiding and shaping about every student who's graduated from Leo over the last 40 years - including me. Steve Gabet, you are this month's Golden Apple Award winner

Golden Apple Award winner Steve Gabet says, “Thank you... It's certainly an honor. It's a little bit ironic because I don't even think I'm the best teacher in my hallway let alone anyone else.”

He may be humble, but Steve Gabet is regarded by many at Leo High School as a hero of education.

Osborne says, “He is known for his mock elections with confetti and for jumping up on the desk and shouting to enhance the lesson.”

A former student, and now his co-worker, Rita Osborne wrote the nominating letter.

Osborne said, ”I was a student of his, my brother, my children... it's just exciting and his wife actually was a teacher for my own daughter in kindergarten at Harlan, too, so... it's just a neat family... really great.”

Mr. Gabet's wife is now a retired kindergarten teacher and he himself will retire from the high school at the end of the school year. He says for both of them, teaching is more than a job. It’s a passion.

Gabet says, “We both taught in the same school system, so she would get 'em coming and I would get 'em going at the end of their career and we both taught many of the same kids.”

Mr. Gabet's list of accomplishments is far too long to fit in this short story: 40 years of teaching, ten years as a state legislator and forever a mentor to countless young people. We thank him for making such a big difference in our corner of the world.
